This fruit belongs to the family of "Sapindaceae" and the genus of "Litchi".
An evergreen tree reaching 11–18 meters tall, the lychee bears fleshy fruits that are up to 5 cm long and 4 cm wide. Litchi is eaten in many different dessert dishes, and is especially popular in China, throughout Southeast Asia, along with South Asia and parts of Southern Africa.
