Description:  High Yield – Lucknow 49 White Guava, aka Sardar is a high yield tree from Asia, producing large fruit for eating fresh off the tree or canning and preserving. The bumpy, round shaped fruit is yellowish-green on the exterior with a unique creamy white interior flesh.

It is prolific bearer, greenish yellow with milky white sweet pulp and rough surface. Shell is fairly thick, contains fairly soft few seeds in inner portion of pulp

The guava tree is a highly attractive tree. The leaves and flowers are both mildly fragrant and attractive.  The tree produces white 1 inch size flowers. The fruits are about 5 inches in diameter; either oval, round or pear shaped and the ripe fruit has a rich pungent smell which spreads quickly in the house. The fruit has white, pink yellow flesh having seeds at its center. The taste of the fruit varies from sour to sweet, depending on its variety.

The guava tree, if grown in ground will grow to a height up to 12 feet in tropical regions. The tree will grow to a smaller size in a container. The guava plants thrive in any soil with good drainage and full sun for best flowering and fruit production.

.Uses: Guava (Psidium guajava) is a tropical tree, producing sweet fruits which are eaten as a fruit or used as an ingredient in drinks, smoothies and desserts.

Plants Care:  The young small guava plants need evenly moist soil, especially during the flowering period for optimized growth. Reduce the rate during winters and monsoons, as overwatering will invite fungal and other diseases. Once the small guava tree is mature, it does not need watering and can dwell on rainwater only.
